Dan Wilcox is a character in the Scream Roleplay Universe, figuring in the narrative’s backstory.

A freelance photographer, he met single mother Eileen Cates right on the heels of a nasty divorce. While “comforting her”, he ended up getting her pregnant and defied all expectations by marrying her, promising to do right by Eileen, Kieran (her son by her first marriage) and their child, Deanna.

The sentiments were noble, but didn’t track to reality. Both Dan and Eileen struggled with drug abuse, and Dan’s problems didn’t help his existing anger issues. He frequently took out his temper on Eileen and the kids, making an already bad situation worse.

Dan was never able to break the chains of his own anger, and died in a car crash with Eileen, precipitating Kieran and Deanna’s relocation to Lakewood, to live with Kieran’s father, Clark Hudson.
