Terrance Smith is a supporting character in the Scream roleplay universe, appearing in the second and third volumes of The Story so Far, the Lakewood: Year One prequel, and an entry of the Lakewood Legendarium.
Terrance debuted in the 2016 Season 2 AU as the first (and, in that forum, only) OC of newcomer AbedFan. The character quickly took on a somewhat mythic scope in the game, largely owing to his presence in the subsequent Season 3 AU, where he was the only character to die and, indeed, the only playable character to perish in either of the 2016 forums.
While it has never been confirmed, it is likely that 2016 forum moderator TheDerpHowlsatMidnight intended Terrance, paired with his own OC Bridget Atwood, to be the killers in the Season 2 AU, but obviously these plans were abandoned by the October reboot.
Terrance’s murder was retained when The Final Retreat was launched in 2019, with the events of the Season 3 AU being retrofitted into a sort of extended prologue for the game, and Terrance being the first victim of the new game’s unknown killer. AbedFan introduced a long lost half-brother for Terrance, Drew, which necessitated the introduction of the Smith family patriarch, Fitz Ulick Kasper Smith, portrayed by ThePlotMurderer. The Smith family has had a considerable footprint in the SRU ever since, well after Terrance’s death.

History
Childhood
Terrance was born on October 5, 1999. The scion of the Smith family, one of Lakewood’s oldest and wealthiest families, there were high hopes for him from the moment of his birth, but this didn’t mean his birth was acclaimed.
His father, Fitz Ulick Kasper Smith, himself the last of the Smith family’s male line, had married largely against his will to Simone Delatour, a French socialite and retired actress. The match had been affected by Quinn Maddox, Fitz’s best friend, who knew Simone through his own wife, Monica. Fitz, whose father had been champing at the bit for grandchildren, rushed into an engagement neither he nor Simone were happy about.

Growing up with the lofty expectations of his relatively common surname hovering over him, Terrance naturally sought ways to act out, carving out his own niche in the stuffy family hierarchy.
