The Wilcox-Hudson house was the residence of various members of the Wilcox and Hudson families at the time of the 2015 – 2016 Lakewood murders.
Belonging for many years to Sheriff Clark Hudson, after his death, it became the property of his son Kieran Wilcox, mediated for a brief time by Maggie Duval before Kieran turned 18. Shortly afterward, Clark’s sister Tina and her son Eli came to Lakewood and moved in, ostensibly to help Kieran look after his recently returned runaway sister Deanna.
Following Kieran’s conviction for perpetrating the 2015 Lakewood Slashings and 2016 Lakewood Thrashings, the property fell into Tina’s custody.

Layout
The house is a two story suburban home on a quiet residential block popular with families. The house has white siding and a blue slate roof, with a prominent front porch.1 There is a driveway, located to the left of the entrance, and a walkway leading up to the porch.
The front patio is an elevated porch, ringed by a railing, with an awning supporting by wooden columns. The front door is made of caramel-colored wood, with a decorative glass panel shaped like a fleur-de-lis. The door obtains a noticeable scar when Kieran attempted to use his knife to break in after his and Dee’s first day in Lakewood.2
The foyer is a narrow artery connecting to the other parts of the house. There is a coat closet to the left of the front door and an open doorway to the living room to the right. The kitchenette is at the end of the passage, and the staircase to the left, after the closet. Notably, there’s no security alarm, which Kieran chalks up to Clark’s hubris.3
The living room is located to the immediate right after entering the house. It contains a La-Z Boy recliner, a sofa, and a television set.4 The sofa didn’t see much use while Clark was living alone.5
The kitchenette is accessible from the end of the foyer passage. It includes a table and chairs for communal dining, and an L-shaped counter. Notably, there is a garbage disposal, which both Kieran and Tina seize on as evidence that they’ve come up in the world.6
Deanna’s room is one of three bedrooms in the house. It functioned as a little used guest room for the many years Clark lived alone.
History
By the time Kieran and Deanna came to live with him, Clark had been living at 228 Pelletier Place for almost 15 years. It was in this house that he rebuilt himself, recovered from his drug addiction, and established himself as a respectable and responsible man, becoming a pillar of his newfound community.
Homecoming
Dan and Eileen Wilcox died in a car crash in September 2015, after which Clark became the legal guardian of Kieran, his son with Eileen, and Eileen and Dan’s daughter Deanna.
Clark planned a proper reception for his new charges but, on the night they were to arrive, was called away to investigate the murders of Stacy Winters and Brock Carmichael. Kieran and Deanna found an empty, locked house. Kieran, already expecting to be unimpressed by his father, refused to wait on the stoop and picked the lock, admitting himself and his sister.7
Clark returned early the next morning, and had a cold reunion with his son, and a chillier introduction to Deanna, made worse when they learned about the murders.8
